An eco-freiendly, pet friendly farmstay on a 'real' working biodynamic market garden farm. Includes lots of chooks, brumby horses, cows, alpacas and sheep.
There are not many places you can experience a beautiful 8 acre biodynamic permaculture farm only 5 mins drive from the heart of Bellingen. Our farm is in conversion for certification and we strive to be as self sustainable as possible in terms of growing our own produce. We grow seasonal fruit and vegetables and have planted over 80 fruit trees on our farm. We also grow a commercial crop of Russian Garlic which we harvest in November.
Our lovely, private eco-friendly vintage farm stay has flat access, is fully fenced with reverse cycle air-con system + a slow combustion wood fire.
This house has a passive solar design, which means it takes full advantage of its north aspect, keeping the house cool in summer and warm in winter and has been featured in a home renovation in Real Living Magazine. (October 2010 edition)
The house is open plan with two bedrooms;
(one with a queen size bed the other with two singles) and one bathroom. The style of this house is relaxed, with an emphasis on second hand and pre-loved furniture, antique Moroccan rugs, and road side collectables.
There is a fully fenced garden so that your children and pets can play safely. A small citrus orchard in progress in the paddock below your house and a a bonfire area to enjoy. Bunches creek is located at the bottom of the farm below your house and is a great spot for a picnic and a swim.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with a stainless steel gas stove, plus laundry facilities.
There are free range chickens roaming the property along with two sheep (lizzie and lucky) and two cows (charlie and daisy), two alpacas (George & Nev) and Two brumby Horses (Megsy and her foal Cosmo)
There are extensive bushwalks for you and your dogs to enjoy only a couple of minutes away.

Our Vision + Feedback from others
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Our vision is simple, and reflects who we are...we are committed to providing eco-friendly accommodation to our guests in a way that limits our carbon footprint on the planet. We strive to do this in every way we can, from our model of trying to live as organically as we can, and our refusal to supply microwaves, use chemical cleaning products and soaps, to the solar power, rain tanks, no dishwashers and a our lack of gadgets.
Our motto and reflected style of all our homes is re-cycle, re-use and replace with second hand. Therefore you wont find new shiny couches or mass produced products, we aim to use what has already been used in an effort to play our small part in breaking the cycle of consumption and production.
We now also have an eco-friendly rustic hut up in the mountains 1 hour from Bellingen. This is ideal four horse riders, hikers and bushwalkers as it sits on the national trail and bi-centennial horse trail. Hernani Hut can also be found on stayz.
